Derbyshire-based duo The Whiskey Brothers have previewed their third album with their newest single ‘Welcome To Paradise’, a folk-country pairing, complete with muscular guitars and huge, live-feel, expansive choruses. Following their A Million Dreams EP, the single celebrates escaping routine and starting fresh, inspired by filming plans in the Maldives.
Discussing the release, the duo explains:
George says, “We wanted to write something that captures that feeling when something exciting is about to begin. It could be arriving somewhere incredible with someone you love, walking out of work on a Friday, quitting a job you hate, starting a new chapter in your life, that moment where you leave the everyday behind and think, ‘This is it.’ That’s what Welcome to Paradise means to us. Paradise doesn’t necessarily have to be a place; it can be a feeling.”
Howard continues, “The Maldives was a huge inspiration because we knew we’d be filming at the Hard Rock Hotel, and visually it represents that idea of paradise perfectly. But we wanted the song to work beyond that. It’s about excitement, freedom, and the rush you get when you step into something new. Whatever your version of paradise is, a holiday, a relationship, a new start, or just escaping the nine-to-five for a while, this is the soundtrack to that feeling.”
