13 fuses nu-metal with widespread influences, delivering raw energy and a massive attitude. For fans of Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, and BABYMETAL, the track is a formidable statement of resilience, self-belief, and refusing to be silenced. Sarah Wynn Griffiths: “13 is an unapologetic banger, it’s the anthem for us underdogs, full of attitude.”
Gwion Griffiths: “The song is fierce with our signature nu-metal sound, but we’ve progressed and pushed the boundaries further with our phonk influences, keeping the Welsh language at the heart of it.”
Formed by married duo Gwion and Sarah Wynn Griffiths in Bangor, North Wales, C E L A V I have rapidly earned a reputation as “the loudest thing to come from North Wales!” (BBC Radio Cymru). Praised by Metal Hammer as “Welsh-language nu revivalists offering up something fresh” and championed early on by BBC Radio 1 (“CELAVI — remember that name”), the band has drawn praise across the board.
C E L A V I recorded PRAELIA with Grammy-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Nova Twins, Holding Absence). To bring the visual world of 13 to life, the duo teamed up with Loki Films (Sleep Token, Limp Bizkit). The new single arrives on the heels of a defining sequence of live achievements throughout 2026. After winning Sound of Miwsig 2026 Wales, C E L A V I made history at Download Festival as the first band ever to perform in Welsh at the legendary event, a milestone documented in S4C/Hansh’s film Sgrechian. Since then, the two-piece has commanded major stages across SXSW London and FOCUS Wales, opened for As December Falls at Chepstow Castle, and expanded their international footprint fresh off an explosive performance at Pro Weekend Fest in Spain.
