French alternative metal and digital emocore outfit WITHOUT A SIN has released “PARASITE,” a new single featuring Japanese vocalist Hoshikuma Minami, known for work with deathnyann and Wagamama Rakia. The recording precedes the group’s forthcoming EP, an independently produced project that continues their exploration of psychological distress, interpersonal conflict, and contemporary electronic influences.
“PARASITE” examines the consequences of excessive emotional investment within a deteriorating relationship. Its narrative considers how individuals become increasingly reluctant to acknowledge damaging circumstances after committing significant time, energy, and personal identity to another person. The resulting pattern of rationalization and self-blame provides the song’s central psychological framework.
The collaboration with Hoshikuma Minami introduces an international dimension to the release, connecting WITHOUT A SIN’s French alternative music background with Japan’s experimental heavy music community. The group’s established aesthetic combines aggressive musical elements with more restrained, atmospheric passages, reflecting an interest in contrasting emotional states.
The forthcoming EP was recorded and produced independently by WITHOUT A SIN, with mixing and mastering undertaken by Cody Stewart, whose previous credits include Falling In Reverse, nothing,nowhere., and Lorna Shore.
The release also incorporates visual contributions from digital artist Half_hellth, responsible for the three-dimensional artwork, alongside a short-form music video developed by Aurélien Mariat and 8path studios.
Through “PARASITE,” WITHOUT A SIN continues developing a multidisciplinary approach to alternative music, combining collaborative recording, independent production, and visual storytelling within a broader examination of human relationships.
