GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, producer, and Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes – who made a surprise appearance at the Aerosmith & Friends show at the Hollywood Bowl last Thursday, October 29th – has announced new 2027 spring tour dates for his Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience. The one-of-a-kind, acclaimed live show will be stopping in Atlanta on March 7th, Pittsburgh on March 30th and Buffalo on April 1st in addition to Nashville for two previously announced shows on March 11th and 12th. All shows will be conducted by Rich Daniels of Chicago’s City Lights Orchestra, leading Warren and his all-star band alongside each city’s respective symphony orchestra. The Warren Haynes Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience showcases all aspects of Haynes’ incredible catalog and decades-long career with music from Gov’t Mule, Allman Brothers Band, The Dead, his solo albums, and more, reimagined with bold orchestral arrangements as highlighted on his breathtaking new live album, Dreams & Songs: A Symphonic Journey, just released in September.

Dreams & Songs: A Symphonic Journey, released September 18th via Evil Teen Records in the U.S. and Provogue/Artone Label Group in Europe, showcases the 2019 live debut of the Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience live show. Recorded over two nights at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Warren’s hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, the album beautifully captures the thrilling collision between his lineup of seasoned rock ‘n’ roll improvisers – Oteil Burbridge on bass, John Medeski on organ and keys, Jeff Sipe on drums, Greg Osby on saxophone, and Edwin McCain and Jasmine Muhammad on background vocals – and the 64-piece Asheville Symphony Orchestra, all led by Daniels. The expansive 16-track collection was co-produced by Don Was (The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt) and Haynes and mixed by the legendary Bob Clearmountain (David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones). Since its seminal debut seven years ago in Asheville, the Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience has taken on its own life, performing at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre as well as in New Orleans, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, among other cities. It is now a highlight of the musical calendar wherever it stops, with each show adopting its own identity and repertoire.
Before Haynes takes the symphonic show back on the road, he has a few special nights coming up in December to close out another incredible year. On December 12th, Haynes hosts the 34th annual Christmas Jam in Asheville. The 2026 lineup is stacked featuring Greta Van Fleet, The War On Drugs, Gov’t Mule, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Daniel Donato & Friends plus special guests Jesse Welles, Lukas Nelson, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and YOLA with more to be announced. With proceeds continuing to benefit longtime partners Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and BeLoved Asheville, The Christmas Jam is one of the most celebrated and longest-running live concerts in the U.S., raising millions of dollars to help the Asheville community construct homes and assist with housing needs. Tickets and VIP/travel packages are on sale now – visit www.xmasjam.com for more info and to purchase. Then, Warren and Gov’t Mule will officially wrap the year with their annual New Year’s Run. Following two nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on December 28th and 29th with special guest Audley Freed, they will head north for a special “Gov’t Mule & Friends” show on December 31st at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston. Gov’t Mule is bringing A Southern State of Mind to Beantown for their first New Year’s Eve show outside of NYC in over two decades. Among the special guests and friends already set to join are Haynes’s former Allman Brothers Band bandmates Jaimoe and Marc Quiñones, ABB alum Chuck Leavell, former members of The Black Crowes Steve Gorman and Audley Freed, Reese Wynans, and Kevn Kinney.
