The search for love is taking an unconventional turn as T-Pain steps into the world of reality television with Searching For A Third, a new dating series created and executive produced by the GRAMMY® Award-winning artist. Premiering Wednesday, November 11, at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on the Nappy Boy Network YouTube Channel, the bold, funny, and refreshingly candid series follows DJ Montay and his wife, Shonte Renee, as they embark on a search for a third partner to join their polyamorous relationship.
The project stems from T-Pain’s longstanding friendship with the couple. Montay has worked as the artist’s DJ and musical collaborator for years, and that professional relationship has evolved into a close personal bond, with Montay and Shonte becoming like family. Now, T-Pain is adding reality television producer to his already extensive résumé, bringing their unconventional approach to love and partnership to the screen.
“My favorite thing about this show is that it’s real,” said T-Pain. “Montay has been like a brother to me for many years, so getting to support him and Shonte on their quest for love was both special and entertaining as hell.”
Throughout the season, Montay and Shonte will meet a group of women interested in becoming part of their relationship, navigating the excitement and complications of finding someone who feels right for both of them. From instant chemistry and awkward first encounters to jealousy, personal boundaries, and unexpected emotional connections, the search promises plenty of unpredictable moments as the couple explores what it takes to welcome another partner into their lives.
“We share a type of love that many wonder about but don’t always have the courage to actually explore,” said DJ Montay and Shonte Renee.
Rather than offering a conventional dating-show formula, Searching For A Third promises an unfiltered look at the conversations, compromises, and emotional complexities involved in building a nontraditional relationship. The first two episodes of Searching For A Third premiere November 11, with new installments arriving weekly. The season will culminate in a two-part reunion special early next year.
