Pinwheel Valley Releases “Between Bone and Light,” a Seven-Track Exploration of Human Nature

Pinwheel Valley has released Between Bone and Light, a seven-track album exploring grief, resilience, alienation, forgiveness, and the complexities of human relationships. Combining indie rock, folktronica, atmospheric electronics, and psychedelic influences, the project brings together a collection of songs examining the contrasting emotional experiences that shape human existence.

The release follows growing international recognition for Pinwheel Valley, including coverage from EARMILK, CLASH, and Wonderland, interviews and airplay on BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Sheffield, and support from NPR Music and RTÉ 2FM. The project has also reached No. 13 on the US iTunes Alternative Songs chart.

Every song on Between Bone and Light was initially composed on piano before being developed into arrangements incorporating live drums, synthesizers, guitars, and layered vocals. The album draws inspiration from artists including Radiohead, Coldplay, Father John Misty, and Massive Attack.

The seven-track collection opens with a reinterpretation of Radiohead’s “Everything In Its Right Place,” followed by “Your Superman,” “Go Your Way,” “Werewolf,” “Holding On,” “Hello from Afar,” and “Run Wild.”

The album addresses subjects ranging from personal loss and self-empowerment to social marginalization and reconciliation. Its title reflects the relationship between physical mortality and the emotional or spiritual connections that endure through difficult experiences.
