Breeze are back as they look to further reinforce themselves as dynamic indie risers, following the release of ‘Devil’s Hymn’ closer to the top of 2205. Back with a new anthem, ‘Song for a Sign’ sees the three brothers add a new depth to their rock-soaked sound.
Instantly crashing down with riotous guitars and a riotous backbeat, ‘Song For a Sign’ looks to lean into that gritty indie soundscape, cementing Breeze as a fast-rising, dynamic creative outfit. Sticky melodies give the single a lucious, slick feel – making the track both easy to listen to and impossible to ignore. Dancing carefully over the airwaves lies a bluesy lead guitar, punctuating the track with rich riffs and licks, which eventually bring the single to a gripping end.
Talking about the release, the band explain, “We went deep into experimentation in the studio, layering unexpected sounds across the verses to bring a modern twist to that unmistakable ’90s Britpop energy the nation still craves. The result sounds like a head-bopping, hook-heavy track that worms its way into your head before detonating into a chorus built for festival fields and sweaty club sing-alongs.”
