Hi GreekDaGod, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
I have been chilling, working on new projects all year trying to keep a balance.
Can you talk to us more about your latest singles “All Yours & Cold Summer ”?
I’ve been lucky to work with two people who love doing music and have the same mindset as me. My brother thekevooo been rocking out for a minute. We been doing this music for years and we had to get it from the mud. We both have the same birthday on September 4th, so I flew to New York this year from LA to get lit and vibe. Last day of my trip we were at the studio vibing to the beats. We ended up using willi3styles, a producer from New York. That’s when the single ‘’Cold Summa’’ was born, a new futuristic sound. The song is out now on all platform.
Now the track ‘’All Yours’’ is featured by Mickey Shiloh, a great songwriter. We haven’t released the song yet but it’s on fire.
Can you tell me about your other name Galaxy Greek?
Yeah, Galaxy Greek is my other alter-ego, it’s my producer side. I started producing before rapping back in the day. We use to rap in the basement or in the backyard for fun. Lol. I’m well rounded, I’m a songwriter, producer, engineer, and composer.
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
It’s easy for me to write anything; but I love making new vibes. That’s when I waste the most time making music. But my environment and the people around me give me inspiration the most.
How was the filming process and experience behind the video?
It’s cool. I love directing videos, it’s stressful sometimes managing a group of people. My first music video I made was in 2012, once I realized I’m good at making videos, I never act on it. I only started once I moved to the west coast in 2019.
How was the recording and writing process?
Depending on my mind set and style. Sometimes I don’t write, I just pop in the booth once I get the vibe down. I haven’t been writing as much as I used to when I was living on the east coast.
What role does LA play in your music?
LA helps me be more creative in my visuals more than anything. Meaning, they have a lot of areas in LA for video shoots and warehouses. I used to live in Philly before I came to LA. That’s two different vibes. I was in the music scene pretty heavily, mostly behind the scenes.
With the great reception from your previous work – were you any nervous or felt any pressure while putting this track together or rather the opposite?
Yes and no. I try to have fun with creating music. I don’t want it to feel like a job.
Does the new single mean we can expect new material – how’s that coming along?
I can’t see the future. Lol.
Any album release date or title in mind?
All Smoke Album and Lany Album.
What else is happening next in GreekDaGod world?
Nothing much, just living my life and being creative. Hoping to inspire someone with my creativity or my music either it’s a win. Other than that, i want to make timeless music.
