Recently, I have had quite a few friends asking for recommendations for shows that are worth binge-watching. The holiday season is drawing near, and paid leaves are not transferable to next year. So, everyone is preparing for the upcoming holidays.

Not all of us are stoked to travel, and sometimes we just want to laze around at home, and binge-watch shows with a couple of pizzas. For that very reason, I have decided to write an article to recommend shows that are worth checking out on Xcine.tv.

Shows worth binge-watching

Just to clarify a few things, in my opinion, shows that are worth binge-watching is not always action-packed. It is true that shows with such elements would definitely be more exciting. However, that excitement will be gone in just an hour or two watching them consecutively.

As such, my list of the recommendation will be shown that feel more like you are observing the life people from another group. But with plots, funny scenes, a lot of conversation and perspective.

Brooklyn nine-nine

I can’t even begin to count how many times I have rewatched the series. Brooklyn nine-nine is a show that circles around the NYPD detectives.

Usually, that would mean there is a lot of investigation, forensic talk, and police things. However, it is not the case with Brooklyn nine-nine. Cases in this show are not incredibly sophisticated and complicated. Most of the time, the characters solve while doing something else.

However, that is what makes it worth watching. All characters are simultaneously developing alongside their daily lives at the police precinct. The story goes on with a lot of funny scenes, a conversation between colleagues, and more.

One thing worth mentioning is that Brooklyn Nine-Nine was written based on interviews with actual police detectives. That’s why the stories in the shows are not really that far fetched from reality. Although some of them do sound a bit ridiculous, they are true to some extent.

Limitless

Similar to Brooklyn nine-nine, Limitless is also a show that focuses on the FBI. The show centers around a guy who is basically a screw-up in life but is offered a chance to redeem himself. He is given a pill that turns him into a genius and the ability to access 100% of his brains.

Does that sound familiar? Yes, it is a spin-off show from another movie, also called Limitless with Bradly Cooper (cast as Edward Morra). The show has a lot of funny monologue and investigation-related plots to keep you entertained for days to come.

Suits

The tv show is about tons of drama happening in the topic law firm in New York. Mind you, though, you wouldn’t like Suits if you are not fond of legal terms and only watch stuff for shallow entertainment.

Suits have the best plots, scripts, and storyline, but it requires people to be patient and interested in seeing people work. You will see tons of badass moments in which a pair of lawyers take down the world’s top giant conglomerates to big shots working for the government.

The chemistry between the main characters would also play a significant role in getting you hooked to the show.

Stranger Things

For folks who love mystery, supernatural and thriller, you will like Stranger Things. People have always been afraid of, yet morbidly curious about the unknown. A show that can make use of this subconscious morbid curiosity can quickly get people hooked to its content.

Each episode of Stranger Things will provide you some answers, but always more questions. You will always leave wondering about what happens to the main characters and have no choice but to keep watching.

I have to admit, I started watching Stranger Things purely because of nostalgia for the 1980s pop culture. However, two episodes in and I stayed for the plots. After that, I always feel empty inside everytime I finished all the episodes just to rewatch the whole series again.

Lucifer

This is another show centers around police investigation. Do you see a pattern here? Yes, I do love forensic, but I promise Lucifer offers a different kind of entertainment here.

This is a show about the king of hell taking a holiday to be a police detective consultant. Well, he is initially the owner of a club. Then, with a twist of fate, he becomes the police consultant. Of course, the king of hell wouldn’t use the mundane and human method to investigate. Lucifer has some tricks up his demonic sleeves to make the show more entertaining.

There is one more why you should watch this show. Have you ever imagined what would happen when the king of hell himself needs a session of therapy? I am pretty sure you haven’t and trust me when I say it is funny as hell, pun intended.

What makes it even funnier is Lucifer actually and genuinely needs that therapy session. That really does put things to a perspective that, how would a fallen angel and the former king of hell think about the current society when there is no torture to be done?

Bottom line

I could go on and on with the list, to be honest. There are just so many tv shows series that worth binge watching.

I know I might be sounding a bit opinionated there. I am sure you have your own biased when it comes to tv shows series. Though please don’t let that be the reason to pull you away from these shows.

And if you need a good site with the HD and 4K quality to watch these movies, xCine.tv is the perfect choice for you. Thank you for reading, and see you!
