SIFYN Chase a Way Out on New Single “Lexicon”

Minneapolis pop-metalcore outfit, SIFYN, face a truth they can’t undo on brand new single, “Lexicon“, out now. The latest offering from the band’s forthcoming EP, “Self-Encrypted“, set for release on December 4, pairs heavy guitars and pop-forward melodies that explore concealed motives, unwelcome revelations, and the urge to shut everything out. Underneath the urge to fight back, “Lexicon” returns to the realization that the only actions we can control are our own. Pre-order “Self-Encrypted” HERE.

Fusing the impact of metal with alternative rock, atmosphere, emo vulnerability, and pop-forward melody, today’s release, “Lexicon“, gives voice to the anger of being left to make sense of someone else’s choices. As anticipation builds for “Self-Encrypted“, “Lexicon” continues to introduce the world of the new EP, where things left unsaid carry as much weight as the truths that eventually surface.

On the difficult truths at the center of “Lexicon“, founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar shares:

“Lexicon was the first song written for this EP. We were stoked because it felt like we were off to a really good start with this one.

It’s always a good feeling to be very sure of the first song or two that you write for a body of work. Nobody wants to be second guessing themselves, so having something you’re proud of early has always been a good way to build momentum.”

Drawing weight from metalcore with alt-rock textures, emo’s volatility, and pop-minded melodies, SIFYN have found a way to make heavy music with a danceable pulse. Sharpening the contrast between intensity and immediacy, “Sew Me Up“, “Code” and “Lexicon” introduce the upcoming “Self-Encrypted” EP as a new phase for the Minneapolis band, one that is colorful while unbridled.

Founded by (ex-Veil Of Maya) Lukas Magyar, SIFYN made their debut with “Marionette” in 2022 and have continued to expand their palette with every release. What began as a creative outlet beyond Magyar‘s longtime work in heavy music became a space to follow different instincts: bigger melodic swings, looser genre boundaries, and songwriting that makes room for both technical weight and straight-to-the-chest emotion.
