Faint Halos Release Soul-Stirring Single “Something To Lose” from Upcoming Album “I can see a million lights”

Faint Halos, led by the talented musician Paul Hashemi, is back with a soul-stirring single called “Something To Lose”, out today!

This is the first single release paving the way for the upcoming album “I can see a million lights.”

The single marks a shift from their original modern rock sound to a more acoustic set-up, revealing the tender, folky dimension of the song.

“Something To Lose” is a contemplative exploration of life’s uncertainties, and the weight of decisions made. Hashemi’s vocals exude sincerity and authenticity, drawing listeners into the narrative of lost love and introspection:

“After releasing the original version in 2022, I wanted to get out of the studio and play live, starting with my solo acoustic set. I discovered that this song – which began life as a synth-based rock anthem – had a tender, almost folky dimension underneath.”

Drawing inspiration from rock icons of the past while infusing the track with a contemporary edge. The song’s stripped down acoustic arrangement allows the emotional essence of the lyrics to shine through, with an unconventional instrumentation and innovative production techniques.

From using a sofa as a kick drum to incorporating the melodic richness of the accordion, Faint Halos offers a refreshing blend of complexity and simplicity, breathing new life into the indie rock genre.

Hashemi’s influences from the 80’s and 90’s are palpable, yet he manages to imbue the song with a freshness that resonates with modern audiences.

Paul Hashemi is a Philadelphia-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His earlier musical pursuits were shaped by formal training in classical piano, viola, and violin and he later immersed himself in the vibrant music scene of the 1990’s touring the East Coast college and club circuit with various rock bands.

Despite stepping away from music to prioritize family, the pandemic lockdown of 2020 provided him with the opportunity to reignite his passion for song writing and production under the moniker Faint Halos.

“I can see a million lights” promises introspective themes and dynamic musical arrangements that transcend genres, from pop rock to folk. With a deep desire to connect with audiences, Paul approaches each performance with purpose and urgency.

Faint Halos has certainly made a mark with this evocative new single in “Something To Lose,” out now.
