Roseanna, the solo music mononym of LA-based British/Irish singer-songwriter and actor Roseanna Brown, has released her brand new single ‘Yes’.
Fit for a feature film in its own right, ‘Yes’ weaves a beautiful love story through its delicate acoustic guitar tones and soaring vocals from Roseanna, which build into a majestic chorus with sweeping cinematic strings.
Regarding the single Roseanna says, “This song is me trying my best to capture how my husband Sam makes me feel, and how saying yes to him was the easiest and best decision I’ve ever made.
I managed to mess up his proposal plans in every way possible. But it didn’t matter, and it didn’t need to be perfect. Love isn’t perfect, and we aren’t perfect, but he loves me and sees me for the real me, and beyond all the things I think are flaws in myself, somehow they don’t matter at all. It’s the safest I’ve ever felt.
I really wanted to capture that. I felt like I hadn’t heard a song written that way before: a female point of view on saying yes to marrying someone, where the whole world falls into place and you’re the only two people in it who have ever loved and been loved. I wanted to be as honest as possible about who we are and how I feel.
He makes me truly happier than I’ve ever been, but I don’t write many songs about it because I’m too busy soaking up being in life with him. So I’m glad I got to revisit those feelings of how he makes me feel and put them into a song.”
‘Yes’ follows the release of ‘Awake’ this summer, an upbeat pop song which was released in tandem with her latest big screen role in the feature film Pressure. The releases saw Roseanna embraced by press including being featured on the cover of The Irish World newspaper, while also receiving a wealth of radio support across the UK as her music and acting careers continue to skyrocket together.

This continues with ‘Yes’, with support already coming from BBC Introducing and an upcoming interview with Patrick Kielty on BBC 5 Live in November, while her previous single ‘Help Me’ released in March has this week been announced for GRAMMY consideration for Best Solo Pop Performance and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals.
Roseanna Brown has been quick to draw trans-Atlantic appeal, and as frontwoman of The Rua they earned five Billboard Adult PopTop 40 hits, two Billboard Dance Top 20s, two UK Dance Club Chart Top 10s, and have spent 53 weeks on US charts. They supported Westlife on their UK arena tour including three nights at The O2, performed at the Oscar Wilde Awards and the Isle of Wight Festival, and were personally chosen by former US Vice President Al Gore as performers for his ClimateReality Project.
She has accumulated over 10 million combined streams as a singer and songwriter. Performing and releasing solo as Roseanna, all singles have been premiered by BBC Introducing, with many more releases planned ahead. Her sound draws comparisons to Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi, and Celine Dion.
Roseanna is also a storied songwriter for other artists, with over 60 releases across major and independent labels spanning pop, country, K-pop, and dance, including ‘Kingdom’, the end-title track for Michael Bay’s feature film Songbird, which she wrote and sang.
Her acting career spans major studio productions from HBO, Disney, Warner Bros., Marvel, and Amazon. Credits include four Harry Potter films, Thor: The Dark World, Citadel, and, most recently, Pressure – Focus Features’ WWII drama directed by Anthony Maras.
