What do you want fans to take from your music?
We just want people to connect to it, feel into it and enjoy. We put our love into the music and just want people to feel that.
How’s the music scene in your locale?
Things are opening up again after many years of lock down. Winnipeg has always been a great music hub. There are many venues to play and we love them all. Even though Winnipeg has been a heavy metal town for many decades they always have room for some good alternative FiveDFit music. We are always welcomed on any stage.
What is the best concert you have been to? What do you like most about playing live?
I’d have to say Pink Flloyd in 94 in Winnipeg. It was so amazing best light show, amazing music, it probably was better because we all went on mushrooms haha, but seriously it was a night ill never forgot.
Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why? Super Galactic mainly because its the first release so only song lmao, we are recording the album which will have some more amazing 90 flare, modern rock music.
How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?
You know you are only as good as the people you play with. So as a group, we have shared many cool ideas. One of the biggest evolutions is video editing. We now do this as a group, have a camera and lightning set up, do our own editing. It’s a ton of fun. Highly Recommend it. Worth the months of technical pulling your hair out computer crashing, youtube video searching for answers lol.
If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?
I’d like to write a song with Jim Morrison. Mostly because I know it would be an amazing party and I’d like to take some of that 70’s vibe and put it into something more modern and Jim is the man!
What’s next for you? Just tapping into creative juices to make some rock lemonade, there may be some vodka involved. We just want to have fun, once the album is done we plan to play a lot of shows, connect with fans and just enjoy it. No outcomes or expectations. Just living in our moments of joy.
