After 15 years of making music, Texas-born country artist Lizzy Passion is entering a new chapter with “CHANGE,” a new release that arrives ahead of her first full-length, full-band studio album, Country Baby, due in November 2026.
Now based in Malibu, California, Lizzy Passion has spent recent years developing a strong presence within Southern California’s live music community. Following a brief break in 2025 after the birth of her son, she returned to performing alongside vocalist and guitarist Juan Peligro and longtime touring band The Cowboy Assassins.
That time onstage has become an important part of the music Lizzy Passion is creating today. Rather than building the forthcoming album entirely within the confines of a recording studio, Lizzy Passion and the band developed much of the material through live performances in front of local audiences.
“CHANGE” arrives during that period of evolution, offering another introduction to an artist whose sound moves comfortably between heartfelt country songwriting, country rock, and the rougher edges of a late-night barroom performance.
The release also points toward Country Baby, a record shaped by Lizzy Passion’s journey from Texas to California and the community of musicians and listeners she has found along the way. The album represents a considerable milestone after more than a decade of performing and writing music.
At the center of it all remains the live experience. Lizzy Passion hopes listeners will carry these songs into their everyday lives, but ultimately, the invitation is to hear them the way they were built to be heard: with a band, an audience, and a room full of people.
