Bloodsucking, Lethargic Freaks! ELECTRIC SIX Ready “Fresh Blood for Tired Vampyres” for October Release

With the dawning of another Autumn comes the announcement of a new ELECTRIC SIX album. Just in time for Halloween, the Detroit dance rockers are back with Fresh Blood for Tired Vampyres, set for release on October 7, 2016 via Metropolis Records. Consistently releasing mind-bending albums annually since 2005, they’ve spiced things up with a heavier dose of atmosphere and textures on their twelfth studio album.

The group has dabbled in numerous genres in the past such as dance, punk, hip-hop and R&B, but Fresh Blood for Tired Vampyres demonstrates the ability to combine all these genres into one cohesive album.  From the Grandmaster Flash-inspired “Number Of The Beast” to the super smooth tour of the NYC outer boroughs “Mood Is Improving,” Fresh Blood finds itself in an urban sprawl with beats, rhythms and Dick Valentine’s trademark, inflection-heavy gruff vocals pulling listeners along for the ride. Pumping a heavy pop injection, “I’ll Be In Touch” and “Dance With Dark Forces” reel in the listener off the street and into the club. The beautiful and haunting “Spacewalkin’” closes out the album and assures the listener that the vampire has now fed and will live a thousand more years, albeit in outer space.
