leo. shines on emotional new indie-folk track, ‘never enough, never fair’

Hailing from Portugal, leo. is a singer-songwriter with a natural penchant for lacing his slick indie-filled melodies with a brooding emotional centre. Since starting his creative career, leo. has amassed millions of streams worldwide and shows no signs of slowing down. Making a return, the artist unveils his latest single, ‘never enough, never fair’,

As textured guitars cut through the intro, Leo’s soothing vocal spills tales of heartbreak and misfortune as the single gets under away. Landing in a folk-esque, indie-pop soundscape, ‘never enough, never fair’ lands as a poignant reflection of how perspective can often tar life’s simplest pleasures. As it moves through the airwaves, the release captures a sense of longing for security, navigating the depths of personal security.

Speaking about the single, the artist explains, “The song became about how outlook can get in the way of joy – it’s a very specific feeling I think a lot of people my age can relate to, and I’m really happy with how we’ve been able to capture it in this song. This track also marks a bit of a shift for me, into a more mature and textured sound, which I worked on with Ed Allen and Nico Widdowson in London throughout last year. I’m insanely proud of the work we did, and I am very excited to finally be sharing it.”
