BIG YELLOW DOG MUSIC’S CHRISTY McDONALD’S DEBUT EP PROUD CONTINUES TO IMPRESS

Big Yellow Dog Music singer/songwriter Christy McDonald, whose debut EP Proud, released earlier this month, has just landed a spot on the Apple Music “Feeling Good” playlist with the track “Are You With Somebody.”  The 3-song EP features songs all written or co-written by McDonald and is available HERE.

The EP boasts the title track that is a message to her late mother, while the infectious soul grabber “Are You With Somebody” is continuing to gain traction with the Apple Music playlist hit.  It also made Amazon’ Music’s “Brand New Music” in April.  To date, McDonald has shared key playlist placement with such stars as Elton John, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé’, Harry Styles, 21 Savage, The Jonas Brothers, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber.

McDonald exclaims, “Lord y’all, I can’t breathe.  This is so exciting.  I have worked hard to perfect this 3-song collection that is filled with my heart and soul.  Please know how much I am pinching myself to see my music aligned with some of my favorite artists.  Wow, just Wow people.  Thanks for the boost.”

Big Yellow Dog co-owner Carla Wallace says, “Her song “Proud” speaks to all the moments in life when you wish somebody was there to see you succeed. Christy’s voice is a true original and is as captivating as her personality.”
