David Aaron Greenberg Releases New LP, Shares “Snap Shot” Single + Video

Today, David Aaron Greenberg — multidisciplinary artist, poet, singer-songwriter, visual creator and one of the last protégés of Beat poet Allen Ginsberg — is releasing his latest work, Trap Poems. A boundary pushing fusion of poetry and sound, Trap Poems is a term Greenberg coined to describe, “a fresh approach to lyrical poetry.” The project was created in collaboration with producer and longtime collaborator David Sisko.

Following the hypnotic lead single, “Chill,” and the sleek, swaggering  “Streets,” Greenberg now unveils the release’s focus track, “Snap Shot.” The track is both provocative and disarming, weaving moments of raw sincerity into a rhythmic, poetic framework. His distinctive blend of hip-hop and spoken word pulls listeners in with its rhythm, only to catch them off guard with a striking line or sudden turn of phrase.

With Trap Poems, Greenberg builds on contemporary oral traditions, positioning his work within the lineage of jazz and Nuyorican poets of the late 20th century. Alongside Sisko, he reshapes literary structures for a modern musical context, creating a dialogue between word and form that feels both timeless and immediate.

“Snap Shot” and Trap Poems are out April 3, 2026.
