LadBaby are currently flying high having released ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin’’ on Friday. Today they share a new slow version which features special guest Ronan Keating duetting with Roxanne Hoyle (LadBabyMum) on the comedic take on the Journey classic ‘Don’t Stop Believing’. Both versions of the song have been released to benefit  The Trussell Trust, whose mission is to end the need for food banks in the UK. The recording session proved to be a dream come true for life-long Boyzone fan Roxanne, set up as a surprise by her husband Mark Hoyle. It’s a step up from the time that Roxanne and Mark were memorably filmed singing along at one of Boyzone’s final shows during last year’s ‘Thank You & Goodnight’ tour. Together they hope to help raise even more money for the Trussell Trust during a time when poverty in the UK is only getting worse.
This year, 1.2 million emergency food parcels were handed out during the first 6 months  of the pandemic  which is expected to increase to a rate of one every 9 seconds this winter – a 47% rise on last year2 in 5 families now rely on food banks, and a child needed support from a food band every 34 seconds between April and September.
Mark Hoyle said, “Rox and I still can’t believe this has happen! WE got to record a song ABOUT SAUSAGE ROLLS with Ronan Keating!!!!! A very surreal moment to hear a musical icon you’ve grown up listening to, singing a song you’ve written in your living room about sausage rolls to help raise money to feed people in poverty in the UK. Unbelievable. As a great man once said “Life is a rollercoaster, you’ve just got to ride it”.
Roxanne Hoyle commented, “RONANNNNNN KEATING!!!!! I GOT TO DUET WITH RONAN KEATING!!!!! I was just gutted I had to keep 2 metres apart. The whole thing was a dream come true and you can now search iTunes and find a song with ME AND RONAN KEATINGGGGGG!!!!”
Ronan added, “I was shocked by the statistics on poverty in the UK and how reliant so many people and families are on food banks. It’s been a devastating year for many people  so I was delighted to help Mark and Rox raise more money for the Trussell Trust and their amazing food bank operation.”
Emma Revie, chief executive of the Trussell Trust said, “This winter is looking like food banks’ busiest ever, with a parcel likely to be given out every nine seconds. This is devastating. But we know if we come together to push for change, we can build a hunger free future. That’s why we are so grateful to LadBaby for their incredible support a third year running – not only does it mean we can support food banks to provide vital emergency help, but it helps us work in the longer term towards a future where no one needs a food bank. Thank you.”
