Actor JaQuan Lewis brings a grounded, disciplined energy to his work—shaped by years of athletics, real-world experience, and a growing commitment to the craft of acting.
Before pursuing acting, Lewis spent much of his life in competitive sports. He played football for 10 years and basketball for 9 years, along with several years of baseball and volleyball. That athletic background gave him a strong work ethic, physical confidence, and a team-oriented mindset that naturally carries into his performances.
Lewis also trained in Muay Thai in Thailand, an experience that pushed him both physically and culturally. Learning and training in the discipline overseas exposed him to a new environment and helped sharpen his focus and resilience—qualities that serve him well in front of the camera.
In addition to acting, Lewis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement and has experience working in the law enforcement and security field. That background gives him a unique perspective and authenticity when approaching characters connected to those worlds.
As an actor, Lewis has trained in cold reading, TV and film scene study, and on-camera performance at Los Angeles Connection, continuing to build the technical side of his craft. His work so far includes leading and supporting roles in independent film and television projects, where he has begun developing a reputation for bringing natural presence and commitment to his characters.
Lewis also enjoys the creative challenge of accents and dialects, with experience performing British, Jamaican, South African, and Southern speech patterns.
At the heart of it, Lewis is focused on continuing to grow as a performer and take on meaningful roles that allow him to show different sides of his range. His long-term goal is to land a series regular role or a significant part in a major feature film—and with his determination and varied life experience, he’s steadily working toward that next step.
