The three-member group Number_i, composed of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi, released their sophomore album No. II on September 22. Developed through close collaboration and featuring live instrumental recordings, No. II marks a confident musical shift that blends modern R&B, hip-hop, and dance-pop—an approach that has cemented Number_i’s status in Japan and is gaining international attention.
Preceding the album were the singles “U.M.A.,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, and “Numbers Ur Zone,” released on September 15. Both tracks underscore the group’s evolving artistry and expanding global reach.
To showcase their live energy, Number_i also released an official live-performance video for “ATAMI,” featuring a full band and reflecting the dynamic stage presence they’ve displayed at major U.S. festivals such as Head in the Clouds and Coachella.
