Hailing from Gravesend, Kam Boora continues his ascent through the UK rap ranks with the release of ‘What About Me’. An ode to his hometown, the single pays homage to the nostalgic places of his youth, and a reminder to remember your roots.
Driven by a pulsating backbeat and sharp production, ‘What About Me’ thrives on energising flows that highlight his sonic mastery and poetic finesse. Boora moves with clarity and conviction, weaving self reflection into tightly wound verses that speak to growth, ambition and staying grounded. There is a melodic sheen to the hook that gives the track replay value, but it is the pace and intent of his delivery that stand out most.
Speaking about the release, Boora explains, “I definitely went in on this one… ‘What About Me’ was written at a point where I was doing a lot of travelling, meeting new people and being around different energies, which naturally led to a lot of self-reflection. In this case, I actually found that process fun. For me, the main thing with this song is checking back in with yourself and staying grounded in your experiences, what keeps you going and where you come from.”
