Washington D.C. duo Hàn Gắn return with ‘Monster’s Kingdom’, a sharp alt rock release that marks their first outing since last spring. Landing at the intersection of indie rock and post punk, the pair channel tension and observation into something that feels immediate and grounded.
‘Monsters Kingdom’ opens with tightly wound guitar lines and a clipped vocal delivery that keeps the single moving forward. There is a raw urgency to the arrangement, stripped back but forceful, nodding to classic post punk shapes while sounding firmly rooted in the present. It is direct, restless and built to linger.
Speaking about the single, the band explain, “We looked around and turned what we saw into sound, not a hopeless world, but a wounded one, aching for healing and demanding consequences for the abuses of powerful men.”
