INTERVIEW: Actress/Model Victoria Pousada Kreindler

1.) We’re very excited to have some time today with acclaimed actress, model, and advocate extraordinaire Victoria Pousada Kreindler; greetings and salutations Victoria and thanks for taking time from a busy schedule to chew the fat with us and our ever-inquisitive readers here at Vents Magazine! Before we take the plunge down the proverbial Q&A rabbit hole, how is the Spring of 2026 finding you and yours?

It is finding me incredibly busy, but also incredibly grateful for being busy! Shout out to my new personal assistant who I would be lost without!

2.) We heard you recently were honored as the “2026 Heart of a Woman Honoree” from Pamela’s Big Heart Foundation! Congratulations! Tell us a little about this honor and what it means to you.

It’s a special kind of joy to be recognized by where you’re from. Pamela’s is based in local New York so I feel extra pride being recognized by my hood.

And even moreso it honors the why behind everything I do. I’ve always believed that advocacy, visibility, and compassion are not separate from a career in entertainment. To be seen for that work by an organization dedicated to uplifting women is humbling and invigorating! It fuels me to keep going, speaking up, and opening doors for women.

3.) Word ‘round industry campfire has it that you have an impressive slate of acting coming up congrats! Can you tell us about some of the projects you’ve been working on?

I will be starring in a film called “5AM” produced by Enslow Drive Productions and created by Meosha Davis here in LA. We expect to start filming in a month! And the table read went great!

The second film is called Blesséd. What I can say about it is Created by Wendy Wilkins Director / Creator of “Death on the Border” who loves my work and It’s a dark comedy western with an underlining message that were always fighting for our freedoms. It was knspired by overturning of Roe V Wade and was nominated for best screenplay at the Pasadena Film Festival!

4.) What’s the E! True Hollywood Story on how you landed upon the pathway as a successful and respected actress? Had you always wanted to be a part of the acting community?

I’ve been acting since I was young. My parents put me in a play at a local church to play the role of tests in Annie when I was in elementary school. And when I was in middle school, I got invited to the NYSTEA conference even though I didn’t apply or know what it was at the time.  And it was the first time anybody listened to me which being the youngest of five extroverted and strong-willed sisters was very appealing. (To become nine siblings when I turned 16). And from then on, I knew I loved acting and started doing workshops and decided to go to college for it.

5.) Your first professional credit for acting came in the form of a 2021 episode of Streets & Avenues! Any special memories of that freshman production?

It was definitely a learning experience on set etiquette, how a film set operates differently from a theatrical stage set, and it was my first paid gig, so I was very happy about that!

6.) You’ve worn a number of hats in the entertainment industry: Acting, Art Department, as well as a Casting Director. Inquiring minds want to know when we can look forward to you stepping behind the camera as a director and/or writer? Is this a future aspiration?

Oh hell nah! I absolutely hate doing any job on set. Other than actor, casting director, or executive producer.  As an actor and casting director my time is very clearly scheduled as well as my commitment and how much say I have over the project. And because my role is so clearly defined, other people don’t expect me to do their work for them. And people can’t take credit for my work either. There’s only one of my character. And there’s only one casting director – for a smaller budget projects –

Being in the middle of the hierarchy of a crew just has not worked out for me in the past. So if I am going to join a crew beyond the role of casting director then I want to be the captain of the ship. Because I do things very efficiently and projects always end up running smoother when I’m the leader. When i’m not the leader, I am often a victim of bullying, gaslighting, ghosting, unprofessionalism, and people taking credit for my work. So I will not be doing that ever again. In the future.

7.) When you’re not putting everyone on their ear with your amazing acting prowess, you can also be found owning a runway or three as an accomplished fashion model, making history as the first Hispanic petite-plus model to appear at London Fashion Week! What do you enjoy the most about modeling?

I love how we can just transform. And how we become living moving art. And how that art is then immortalized in image. I feel so special when I model on set. And I think that’s a joy and desire we can all relate to. But I also feel so much pride when after the shooting is done. People feel inspired by my representation in media.

Just the other day, one of my good friends Rego was telling me how he was in his hometown in Colorado and he ran into a girl who looks just like me and is also plus-size. He told her, “You look like my friend Victoria, who is a model!” And she looked at him in disbelief, then he showed her my Instagram, and she said she felt so special and was so surprised that someone like us is a model and that she’d never seen that before.

So hearing that just made my week. Which I really needed because modeling is tough right now for anyone who deviates from the eurocentric standard of beauty right now. And we need to keep that representation, support and joy alive now more than ever.

8.) You earned the high honor of being named Glamour’s 2025 Women of the Year: Body Positive Model…WOW, and congrats yet again! What did this particular recognition mean to you?

That was definitely a full circle moment for me. I’d spent years advocating for size-inclusive representation, not as a trend but as a standard. So t be recognized by a publication with the legacy of Glamour, alongside women doing transformative work across so many fields, felt like such a validation of the long game.

9.) You’re the co-founder of The Starters Block as well as an advocate for ethical fashion. Can you talk with readers about both these passions and why they are important to you?

The Starters Block is something I co-founded out of a genuine need I saw in the industry. Every day I see people in the comments on Instagram, Threads, and all social media saying they don’t want another reboot; they don’t want another sequel; they’re tired of seeing the same actors again and again on screen. People are even getting tired of seeing Zendaya too much who we all stan! And seeing firsthand how my friends and I were being passed up for celebrities on roles we would have been great for was just disheartening. And the indie revolution has been a long time coming, especially with all these monopolies and mergers. So we’re just trying to fill in the gap as best we can!

10.) Final – SILLY! – Question: Favorite movie about the making of movies – Living in OblivionOnce Upon a Time in HollywoodBowfingerThe Player, or Swimming with Sharks?

I hope please count because mine is definitely The Producers! There are so many iconic quotes and moments from that film / show!
