Diving into the release, the artist explains, “The song came together really quickly and playfully, and I wanted to keep that feeling all the way through the recording. It feels very band-led and communal, like a shared release rather than a private thought. It looks at what it feels like to slowly realise someone you admired is actually emotionally self-centred, the moment where admiration turns into clarity, and the complicated grief that comes with letting go of that illusion.”
