Following a year of building momentum, Chasey the Illest is back as he looks to finally unleash his long-awaited new EP, ‘Cirrus Clouds’. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, the artist looks to embody the regions legendary musical spirit into the project, leaving his mark on the contemporary hip-hop scene.
Sporting fiery backbeats and unmissable flows, ‘Cirrus Clouds’ lands as a bold creative offering. Making the most of cinematic authenticity and vivid ambience, the project features a selection of previously released singles. With its five tracks clocking in at a touch over ten minutes, the EP packs an elite punch, with every lyric and backbeat measured to be brimming with finesse and sonic mastery.
Diving into the project, Chasey explains, “Cirrus Clouds is a short collection of what I would call my journey to making it ‘big’. Moments of my life, trying to get to the top, wherever that is. Its original purpose was supposed to be a follow-up to my previous EP Afraid of Heights, but now I think Cirrus Clouds just has its own thing.”
