MUSIC WEEK POLAND LAUNCH SECOND YEAR OF SHOWCASE INDUSTRY CONFERENCE IN WARSAW

Poland’s leading music conference Music Week Poland returns to Warsaw for 2026 from the 6th to 10th May, bringing together artists and industry professionals from across Europe.

The interdisciplinary event will offer a plethora of live music, conference sessions, and industry education. The conference programme will take place at the Museum of Polish History in Warsaw, located at the Warsaw Citadel. With Poland’s growing cultural zeitgeist, highlighted recently in UK media including The Guardian and Financial Times, Music Week Poland has chosen to spotlight contemporary cultural venues in Poland, by hosting the event at this significant, and newly opened institution.

As Poland becomes increasingly recognised internationally for its economic growth and cultural ambition, Music Week Poland is a long-overdue, new initiative that goes far beyond a standard conference offering. As the world’s 16th largest music market, and a natural meeting point between East and West, as well as North and South – Poland’s rapidly growing music landscape is now engaging on a broader, more international stage. Music Week Poland has arrived to create a space for cooperation, exchange and meaningful connections, placing emphasis on how music is not only used as an escape, but as an integral tool for global dialogue in an increasingly complex world.

Music Week Poland is led by Tamara Kamińska (CEO) and Jarek Szubrycht (Artistic Director), and is collaboratively organised by ZAiKS (Society of Authors and Stage Composers) and Culture Hub Poland (formerly Music Export Poland). CEO Tamara Kamińska says: “There’s no need to explain why Music Week Poland was created. In fact, it’s much harder to explain why it didn’t exist for so many years. Poland ranks 16th among the world’s music markets. It serves as a natural bridge between East and West – but also connects North and South. Moreover, the local music industry – from live performance to recording – is growing dynamically, and Polish artists and professionals are achieving ever-greater international success. We want to build and nurture relationships with our neighbours near and far, believing that healthy competition is rooted in cooperation.”

Announced as the first keynote speaker, is Justin O’Connor, author of the book ‘Culture Is Not An Industry’. The global policy expert, author and academic, will be bringing his plethora of expertise to the stage. O’Connor notes “This keynote is a bold call to action. It invites us to reimagine culture not as a commodity, but as a vital part of democratic life – a space for resistance, imagination, and change. In an era of global upheaval, culture must reassert its political power and reconnect with a radical vision for a fairer future.”

The first 10 announced artists include a wide range of talent from across Europe. The lineup is carefully curated by tastemaker music critics, offering a genuine opportunity for attendees to discover the best of Europe’s cutting edge new talent. Confirmed on the bill are Polish up-and-comers Ciśnienie, daltonists and Loveworms, Bulgarian sibling duo IVA, Slovenian outfit Haiku Garden and Norwegian collective Mildfire. Also gracing the lineup is I Love You Honey Bunny (movie fans will immediately catch the reference) hailing from Czechia, Romanian duo K not K, Estonian group Echo Love and finally, Luna Kills from Finland. From indie-rock to jazz, to nu-metal and afrobeats, there really is something for everyone.. with even more artists to be announced soon!

The first edition of Music Week Poland took place in June 2025 in Warsaw, featuring over 60 showcase performances from a range of emerging and established artists, alongside the industry conference, with the mission to educate, unite, and have fun. Music Week Poland’s 2026 edition will be even more impressive, offering workshops and masterclasses for both artists and music professionals, creating an open, forward-thinking environment where creative minds, business leaders, and cultural innovators can exchange knowledge and explore new opportunities.

Returning for its sophomore year, Music Week Poland 2026 is set to be bigger and more unforgettable than ever. With fantastic speakers and artists already announced, with more to follow in the coming weeks, attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of performances, talks and activities designed to inspire.
