Following a busy 2025, Sofia Gobbi looks set to shine as she unleashes her astonishing debut album, ‘Bigger Man’. Based in London, she has enjoyed a string of acclaimed releases, and shows no signs of slowing down.
Racing between huge alt-rock riffs, and sentimental heart-touching tendencies, ‘Bigger Man’ celebrates what it means to be a woman in the twenty first century. Throughout each of the debuts ten tracks, Gobbi’s knack for pairing authentic lyrics with slick earworms looks to set her up as a true one to watch for the rest of the year and beyond. ‘Bigger Man’ bounces off the energy of the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Wet Leg, with its Sofia’s self-awareness anchoring the project into something truly renounced and exciting.
Speaking about the themes and influences that she has entwined into the albums sonic heart, Gobbi dives in, “Dating today is messy. Roles are shifting, expectations are blurring, and a lot of the time it feels like women are the ones carrying it all – making the first move, planning the dates, picking up the check, and holding the emotional weight. At one point, I thought: fine, I’ll be the bigger man.”
