Suris shine on their emphatic new project ‘Pertinax’

Shining the spotlight on their recent album ‘Pertinax’, Suris are back for 2026 as they look forward to a busy year ahead. The duo project of husband and wife, Lindsay and David Mackie, the release looks to cement the group as outstanding contemporary talents.

Featuring thirteen tracks, ‘Pertinax’ is more than a collection of songs, it’s a body of work that builds both cinematic soundscapes and pillars of emotion. Taking the forward-thinking experimentation of the likes of Kate Bush and Fleetwood Mac, the project borrows what it can from the more nostalgic periods of music history, and sums them up with a vivid contemporary roar.

Speaking about the project, the band explore, “The album title means ‘To persist, stoically’, which truly sums us up – music is deeply embedded in our life and marriage, so we can’t help but continue writing, recording and producing! With this collection, we wanted to present a diverse and surprising range of songs covering themes of persistence, longing and resilience.”
