Italian singer songwriter Marco De Luca has released a new album titled LA STAGIONE DECISIVA, marking an important moment in his long and personal musical journey. Coming from Atri, in the province of Teramo, De Luca has always followed his own path, moving between introspective songwriting, alternative sounds, and careful studio work done on his own terms.
His new record feels like both a look back and a step forward, blending past experiences with a renewed sound identity.
LA STAGIONE DECISIVA, The New Album
LA STAGIONE DECISIVA is Marco De Luca’s fourth official release. The album includes eight tracks and shows a clear evolution compared to his earlier work. Three songs, VIDEOSPazzatura, IL MOSTRO, and UN UOMO GENTILE, come from the repertoire of his former band Sine. These tracks have been revisited and rearranged to match the atmosphere of the five new unreleased songs.
What sets this album apart is the strong presence of keyboards across all tracks. While De Luca’s earlier work leaned more toward new wave and darker guitar driven arrangements, this album explores a more psychedelic rock sound. The result is immersive, reflective, and sometimes hypnotic.

The entire album was written, arranged, and recorded by Marco De Luca himself in the studio, staying true to his independent spirit. LA STAGIONE DECISIVA is available on all major digital stores and streaming platforms.

From Sine to a Solo Path
Marco De Luca’s musical story began in the 1990s with the band Sine. During that period, the group performed original songs along with covers of The Cure, a band that deeply influenced De Luca’s sound and approach to songwriting. The project came to an end around 2000, when the band split up.
After that turning point, De Luca chose a quieter but more focused solo path. He reduced live performances and spent more time writing and experimenting with sound, often working alone.
Early Solo Releases and Sound Evolution
In 2006, Marco De Luca released STANZE REMOTE, an experimental album inspired by 1980s new wave. The record was fully self-produced and created in his home studio. It showed his interest in atmosphere, mood, and personal storytelling.
Two years later, he released the EP DUE in 2008. This project involved other musicians, including bass, drums, and percussion, while De Luca handled vocals, guitars, and computer arrangements. The sound moved closer to pop, with more open and catchy melodies. The EP received radio airplay and helped widen his audience.
In 2012, Canzoni Inedite was released. This album collected songs written across different periods and leaned more toward a classic singer songwriter style, highlighting lyrics and emotional clarity.
A Mature and Focused New Phase
With LA STAGIONE DECISIVA, Marco De Luca brings together everything he has learned over the years. The album feels mature, controlled, and deeply personal. The heavy use of keyboards adds texture and depth, while the psychedelic elements give the songs space to breathe.
This release does not chase trends. Instead, it reflects an artist who knows his voice and is comfortable letting the music unfold naturally.
LA STAGIONE DECISIVA stands as a thoughtful and confident release, confirming Marco De Luca as an artist who continues to grow while staying true to his roots.
