The single arrives less than a month after León’s double album release, Chapayeka and Chapayeka (Puro Chucky), continuing the Hermosillo native’s tradition of delivering holiday gifts to his fans.
“La Morrita” launches what promises to be a historic year for León. The singer is currently
nominated for the 2026 GRAMMY® Awards, where he’ll vie for his second consecutive win in the Best Regional Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano) category for his album Palabra
de To’s (Seca). In 2025, León secured his first GRAMMY® win thanks to his acclaimed album Boca Chueca, Vol. 1.
