Looking to bow out of 2025 on a high, indie outfit Breeze are back with their latest anthem. ‘Superheroes.’ The follow-up to ‘Song For a Sign’, released earlier in the year, the three-piece show no signs of slowing down, bringing their distinctive solid glow to the limelight once again.
Kicking off with a crunching wave of guitars, the track soon sees vocals, melodies and belting refrains unfold. Equal parts anthemic and distinctive, the single leans into the nostalgic flavours of the likes of Supergrass and The Seahorses, full of a love for Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene. Navigating from one section to another with ease, its dynamic backbone brings it to life, setting the band up for exciting things in the new year.
Diving into the creative process behind the release, the frontman explains, “When I started writing ‘Superheroes,’ it all began with the chords. The moment I played them, they hit me like a scene straight out of a superhero movie, and they painted a picture in my head, like I was flipping through the pages of a comic book. From there, the song practically wrote itself. It felt less like writing a track and more like scripting a movie, like a story where the character speaks directly to the audience.”
