Sterling Elza debuts new song, “Never Gonna Quit,” with acclaimed artist and fellow Texan Giovannie and the Hired Guns today—listen/share HERE. The track was produced by Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Koe Wetzel, Brantley Gilbert), mixed by Jonathan Roach (Lakeview, Austin Snell, Elijah) and mastered by 2x Grammy winner Ted Jensen.
Of the collaboration, Elza shares, “It’s been an absolutely great year on the road with Giovannie and The Hired Guns. It was really neat for me to finally get a chance to sit down and actually work with Gio after the rowdy run we’ve had, and I love what we came up with.”
The new music adds to an already full year for Elza, who recently completed a fall run with Giovannie and the Hired Guns and is currently on tour with Austin Meade as part of his Acoustic Christmas Tour. Full details can be found at www.sterlingelza.com/tour.
Additionally, Elza released the deluxe version of his debut album, Simpler Days, this past summer via Alamo Records; listen/share HERE. Since its initial release in August 2024, the album has amassed over 100 million global streams and entered Apple Music’s Top 25 Rock Albums.
The deluxe version adds eight new songs, including Elza’s two recent singles, “Happy Never After” and “Next Week,” the latter of which has earned over 33 million streams to date. The original twelve songs have been remixed by David Baker (Billie Eilish, Jelly Roll, Big Sean) and remastered by Greg Calbi (Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, Bob Dylan), who also mixed and mastered the new material. Elza’s body of work highlights his signature sound—a seamless blend of the grit and soul of his Red Dirt influences with the raw edge of classic rock—as heard in his recent Jam in the Van session. Elza is currently working on new music, set for release early next year.
