Joanna Borne releases new alt-pop belter ‘Wolves’

Looking to enter the new year on a creative high, Joanna Borne is back with her charming new slice of alt-pop, ‘Wolves’. A vivid exploration of human nature, entwined with pummelling percussion and an evocative delivery, the release marks Borne’s third of the year.

Bringing a compelling swagger to the limelight, ‘Wolves’ lands just as fiercely as it does with colour. Built upon a solid rhythm section, the single sees Borne bring her vivid sonic might to the track, painting a truly immersive bundle of pop music. The release takes some inspiration from her upbringing in Saskatchewan, analysing the relationship between isolation and community.

The track takes a stark look into the lives of the often-feared creatures, analysing their roles and drawing correlations between animals and humankind. Diving in, she explains, “The wolves taught me discernment, how something can be loving and unpredictable at once. It’s the same lesson I apply to people.”
