Written by Braison and Nashville-based artist Jordan Lindley, the two finished the track in an hour at his home studio in Nashville. Co-producer Ryan Rasmussen and Braison thought it would benefit from a female voice, which brought about the taunting, sassy notes of his sister, Miley. “Know This” marks the first-ever musical collaboration between the duo, blending their distinct voices in a heartfelt, roots-driven ballad that draws from their Southern heritage. With warm, organic instrumentation and tender harmonies, the song evokes a nostalgic folk feel while demonstrating Braison’s strength as both a performer and producer.

This release further signifies a new era for Braison, as he steps confidently into the spotlight with a sound that’s grounded in storytelling and showcases his evolution as a songwriter and lyricist. The third single off his next full-length album, “Know This” comes on the heels of his earlier summer releases “From Now On,” and “Here In The Middle,” featuring Sierra Lundy. The new album will debut next spring, Braison’s first album since his principal narrative-driven, psychedelic folk Javelina in 2021. His boldest work yet with a series of surprise contributors, the album signifies that of a time capsule documenting Braison’s personal reckoning and creative rebirth.
