Rising Los Angeles rock collective André Miguel & The Moment have officially announced the release of their debut album, Profound/Profane. Recorded in Glassell Park at Psychedelic Thriftstore Recordings with acclaimed producer Joel Jerome, the project cements the band’s mission to bring danger back to rock & roll with a sound that is equal parts nostalgic homage and unapologetic rebellion.
Led by vocalist and songwriter André Miguel, alongside vocalists Jackie Bonsignore and Natalie Luna, the group pulls from a wide spectrum of influences—Sly & The Family Stone, The B-52s, James Brown, and The Cramps—to create music that defies easy categorization. With Profound/Profane, the band frames the album as both a tribute and a critique of rock history, what Miguel describes as “a prayer for degenerate rock-n-rollers.”
The record features contributions from a roster of Los Angeles talent, including drummer Li’Ane Newson, bassist Isabel Dobrev, and guitarist Mikael Ravn, with additional collaborators from the city’s vibrant music community. The result is a raw yet dynamic album that thrives on theatricality, grit, and emotional intensity.
Since their inception, André Miguel & The Moment have positioned themselves as a band unafraid of confrontation—musically, lyrically, and aesthetically. Their live performances combine unhinged energy with vocal interplay, aiming to restore a sense of unpredictability that mainstream rock has long been accused of losing.
Profound/Profane is not designed to be background music. It is, instead, a demand for attention—a record that pays homage to the wild history of rock while rewriting its playbook for a new generation.
