A Bold New Voice Emerges: Katina Debuts “New Love”

A compelling new artist is making her formal entrance into themusic world with a project that blends classical sophistication with pop audacity. Katina, an 18-year-old Juilliard-trained cellist and conductor, presents New Love a debut EP that is as thoughtful as it is powerful.

Drawing upon her rich musical foundation, Katina reintroduces herself through original songwriting, production, and a genre-blending style that reflects her expansive vision. Far from a typical pop debut, New Love feels like a personal manifesto: bold, intricately crafted, and unapologetically original.

The EP invites listeners into a vivid and imaginative world whereevery track tells a distinct story.“Regal Romance” paints a Renaissance-inspired soundscape with the help of flutist Sadie Goodman, while “One More Try” is an energetic collaboration with Deek Westside that explores genre fusion with confidence andfinesse.

Co-produced by Katina and Philadelphia-based producer Leo Galbraith-Paul, the six-track EP highlights a dynamic creative partnership. Their two-year journey of collaboration has resulted in a body of work that grows richer with every listen a testament to their combined artistic range.

Lyrically and sonically, New Love traverses themes of self-discovery, vulnerability, and emotional clarity.“ Trust Issues” and“End of the World” channel moments of introspection through layered vocals and orchestral textures, grounding each narrative in both emotion and musical precision.

Katina’s creative process often begins with an idea a phrase, amelody, or a story that evolves into a full-fledged composition atthe piano. With production input from Leo, and harmonies laid instudio sessions, each song becomes a multi-dimensional experience that merges cinematic production with pop accessibility.

Currently preparing for a series of performances at the World Expo in Osaka, Katina will represent the United States in four solo shows. These live sets will showcase the emotional range and instrumental dexterity that define her artistry, blending cellointerludes with live renditions of the EP.

With New Love, Katina makes it clear she is not simply steppinginto the music industry she is reshaping her place within it. This debut is a clear signal of what’s to come: an artist grounded intradition, but unafraid to break the mold.
