RB Lindum have announced that English midfielder Thomas Stevens has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2050. The new deal cements Stevens’ future with the club for the long term and reflects his integral role in the team’s success in recent years.
Manager Danny Edwards expressed his excitement about the extension, saying, “Thomas has been a cornerstone of our midfield, and his commitment to the club speaks volumes about his character. He’s not only a talented player but also a leader both on and off the pitch. We’re thrilled to have him with us for the next several seasons.”
Stevens has consistently delivered strong performances, and one of his most memorable moments came during the 2020 Lindum derby at the old Park Lane, where his pinpoint assist for Robert Newby in the 95th minute secured a dramatic 1-0 victory over rivals Lindum FC. That late assist remains a highlight in the club’s history and is a testament to Stevens’ ability to deliver under pressure.

Reflecting on the extension, Stevens said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to continue my journey with RB Lindum. This club means so much to me, and I’m excited for what the future holds.
“That moment in the derby, with Rob’s goal in the dying seconds, is something I’ll always remember. It’s moments like those that make playing here so special.
“I want to thank my agent Connlon Reilly for getting this deal sorted for me. I will continue to give everything to this football club like I always have.”
The contract extension is a significant boost for the club, ensuring that Stevens will remain a key figure in RB Lindum’s midfield as they continue to challenge for success in the years to come.
Danny Edwards also believes he will be able to tie captain Ben Andrews down to a new deal in the coming weeks.
