Technically, I’m late to it, but the MLB season is long. Like, 162-games long. As such, I can still deliver predictions for the final standings for the 2025 MLB season, plus the World Series matchup and winner. I promise these predictions are what I thought of prior to the first game taking place. I had to think about it for writing I do elsewhere, so it was already pondered by me before the first pitch was thrown.

For the wild card teams, I’ll go with the Yankees, Rangers, and Guardians in the American League, and the Phillies, Braves, and Diamondbacks in the National League.
In terms of the World Series, both of these teams have been there a decent amount recently. I have the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now, here is where I admit I’m going with my heart a bit. I’m not really a fan of repeat champs, and the Dodgers just dish out so much money. So, I’ll take the Astros to win it all.
