Soul Deception release alluring, dynamic new album ‘Good For The Soul’

Making an exciting return to the airwaves, Soul Deception are back following an almost ten-year hiatus. Releasing their latest album ‘Good For The Soul’, the outfit returns to forging a soulful-goodness as they aim to take 2025 by their own rapturous storm.

Making fairway with opener ‘Suddenly’, the album starts just as it means to go on – with an emphatic stomp. Sporting a nostalgic, analogue aura, the eleven-track stands its ground as an ever-evolving body of work. Despite its soulful roots, the project is much more three-dimensional, encompassing all the rich elements of pop, rock and in some cases folk to give it an unmissable spin.

Commenting on the new milestone for the band, member John Heller unveils, “This second album captures the passion of all of us in each song, from the opener, ‘Suddenly’ to the ballad ‘Drifting Away’, to the soulful ‘Mystery’. In writing the songs, Samantha and I worked together to craft the end result as the album we always heard when performing live. This is a collection of songs that vary in style and flavor, allowing one to find something to connect to. Conceived during the COVID outbreak, we all pushed on together, song by song, to create this newest Soul Deception Album.”
