The second single off CDSM’s forthcoming long-player – Convertible Hearse (May 23rd, 2025 via EXAG’ Records & Mothland) – sees the Atlanta post-punks flirt with old-school hip-hop as a means to throw shade on pay-to-play culture, also taking a shot at proverbial gatekeepers. The deliciously delirious retro rap hit single “What Do You Make?” (March 18th, 2025), as is the case with much of the band’s catalogue, is jam-packed with alien-esque sounds: bit crushed electronics, electric piano hooks, woodblock grooves; and, last but not least, an oh-so satisfying slap bass easter egg for nerds like us.
