What To Binge This Weekend: ‘Moonlighting’

For years, you would hear tell. People would talk of Moonlighting, the ambitious, inventive comedy-drama starring Cybil Shepherd and Bruce Willis. It’s the show that shot Willis to stardom, which led to him getting a shot to star in Die Hard. However, alongside the talk of the quality of Moonlighting, there was also talk of the fact it wasn’t streaming anywhere. You couldn’t buy episodes to stream anywhere, either. There had been DVD releases, but that can be an obstacle to trying a show for the first time, and also they weren’t necessarily easy (or cheap) to get after the production of the DVD sets stopped. Moonlighting was the show you had heard was good, but you had probably never seen, at least if you weren’t around watching TV in the 1980s.

That has changed. The five seasons of Moonlighting are now streaming on Hulu. You can now watch Moonlighting without needing DVDs. Check out a young Bruce Willis, which takes on another level now that he is retired from acting. Do you find the action charming? Do you like their chemistry? Are the flights of fancy and dream sequences fun? Answer those questions for yourself! All you need is a Hulu subscription, and you can get to bingeing Moonlighting. The future is now!
