Could the Muppets get a viable Thanksgiving dinner together? Think about it. Let’s say the Muppets decided they wanted to have Thanksgiving together. Could they make it work? They’d have to find a place to hold it, figure out who will bring what, get food prepared, all that stuff. Collectively do they have the personalities and skills qualified to make it happen?
Even if we viewed this through a throwback prism and say they have their theater, and could use that as a venue, then they have to find enough chairs and table space. Now, I am not saying every Muppet will be there. That’s not feasible. Let’s say that, oh, six Muppets are going to have Thanksgiving together. Are there six Muppets who could make it work?
Gonzo, Animal, and Miss Piggy are three notable Muppets that absolutely could not be included. None of them are contributing. What about the Swedish Chef? He is a chef, but…he’s not good at it? I think he needs to be involved. Kermit and Scooter have to be in the mix as well. They are fairly responsible, and I have excised some of the unreliable, enervating Muppets from the mix. So we have Kermit, Scooter, and Swedish Chef.
I don’t think any member of the Electric Mayhem is helping out. Maybe Floyd. Rowlf, Sam the Eagle, and Uncle Deadly all seem fairly responsible too. Alright, let’s say Kermit, Scooter, Swedish Chef, Rowlf, Sam the Eagle, and Uncle Deadly are the six. I…think they could do it. Kermit probably has a dining space and could get the plates and silverware together. Scooter can keep people organized. Swedish Chef can hopefully figure out a few dishes. Sam, Deadly, and Rowlf can bring stuff. Yeah, if you go with the right Muppets, they could put a successful Thanksgiving dinner together. Throw one wrong Muppet in the mix, though, and you have a mess on your hands.
