1.) We’re super-excited to have some time today with acclaimed UK indie rock band BREEZE; greetings and salutations gang and welcome to Vents Magazine! Before we dive into the Q&A mosh-pit, could you all say ‘hi’ and introduce yourselves to our ever-inquisitive readers?
Hi I’m Albert Anderson Lead vocalist, guitarist and oldest brother of the band.
Hi there I’m Harry Anderson AKA Baz Bass player and backing vocalist.
Hi everyone I’m Alfred Anderson drummer of the band and backing vocalist.
2.) Major kudos and accolades on the freshly-minted new BREEZE single Devil’s Hymn which is lighting up record charts all-around the ever-lovin’ globe! Albert, can you talk about what inspired this infectious new gem of a ditty?
The inspiration behind the track came from realizing how chaotic life can be. But no matter what challenges come your way, if you keep pushing forward and fighting through, you’ll make it out on top.
3.) Harry, who did the producing honors on Devil’s Hymn and what did the in-studio collaboration between artists and producer look like while fashioning and shaping the new single?
3. Grant from Loom Studio produced it, but we stayed true to the demo my brother Albert put together. Grant brought his touch to polish it, but the heart of the track was all Albert—nothing changed from the original vibe. It was a smooth collaboration that kept the raw energy intact.
4.) Alfred, in your humble opinion what differentiates Devil’s Hymn from the Distinguished Competition on the 2025 music scene?
In my opinion I think devils hymn has that unique indie rock sound that has not yet hit the 2025 indie scene, and could quite easily grab the attention of those listening for the first time. It also has that nostalgic sound that could bring people back to their youth when listening
5.) A question for all of you: Who are some of your chief influences, both in and out of the world of music?
Our musical influences include legends like The Beatles, Oasis, Kasabian, Feeder, and Radiohead. Beyond music, our biggest inspiration is our dad—he’s the reason we fell in love with music, learned to play instruments, and started songwriting. He’s even written songs himself and was once in a band with his brothers.
6.) Albert, in the wake of the January 31st release of the new single, can you give fans a hint or three as to what other musical goodies they can look forward to from BREEZE in 2025?
Fans can expect plenty more top-tier singles dropping throughout the year, with the possibility of an EP as well. Plus, numerous live shows are on the horizon, including major UK festival appearances and potentially even a full tour. Stay tuned!
7.) Harry, what does the touring/performing dance card look like for BREEZE in the coming weeks and months?
We’ve already got several live shows lined up, including York at The Fulford Arms on February 28th, Emporium Coalville on March 8th, and Metronome Nottingham on April 10th. Plus, we’re in talks for more shows yet to be announced, along with major festival appearances
8.) Alfred, what does the creative process generally tend to look like when the three of you get together to come up with new material? Is there one person who sort of takes the lead, creatively-speaking, or is it a bit more freeform than all of that?
When it comes to the three of us working together in the studio, Albert has the main basis of the song already written and demoed previously. And during the recording me and Harry will add and suggest bits that can enhance the sound and quality of the recording to create the finished song
9.) Albert, we touched upon what the BREEZE touring itinerary might look like in ‘25. For those lucky folks who show up to see you in concert, what sort of a show can they expect and look forward to?
They can look forward to an electrifying performance brimming with high-energy indie rock and massive anthem songs, guaranteed to have the crowd jumping to the beat and swaying with their phone lights glowing in the rhythm.
10.) Harry, at the end of the day what do you hope fans walk away with after giving many-a-spin to the new BREEZE single Devil’s Hymn?
I just want them to turn it up, feel it in their bones, and think, “That is proper filth.” No fuss, just a banger.
