Go Hawaii Unleash New Single ‘Days Wasted’

Building on the release of their comeback single ‘Auburn’ back in November, Go Hawaii show no signs of slowing down with their latest single ‘Days Wasted’. Painting an ethereal, alt-pop soundscape – fresh with lo-fi and post-punk tendencies – the group are set to further cement themselves as exciting, young creative talents.

Opening with a delicate guitar shimmer, the track soon radiates melody and rhythm with its enchanting approach to alternative songwriting. Cutting in with its gentle delivery, the track is elevated by its dream-like employment of reverb and chorus, bringing a vivid almost wall-of-sound nature to the recording.

Discussing the track, the pair comment, When we wrote this song, we wanted to create a dream pop ballad, inspired by some of the records that came out in the early 2010s. We aimed for something very sweet and dreamy, but we also wanted to give it our own personal touch. That’s where the bridge comes in—we decided to disrupt the flow a little bit, shaking things up for the listener. We can’t just stick to a single genre or follow a standard formula; we always need to add our twist. That balance between the dreamy vibe and our unique touch is how the song came to life.
