Three Years Younger unveil rich track ‘Pretty’

Sibling duo Three Years Younger has been supported by radio, television, publications and editorial playlists. This string of industry tastemaker backing has helped to cement their unique sound as the sound of tomorrow, with fans showing agreement in performances at Latitude Festival, Camp Bestival and supporting Ellie Dixon.

The latest single to be revealed from the upcoming EP Pretty For Now, is ‘Pretty (But Not Supposed To Be Here)’, which spends just shy of four minutes transforming the soundscape around it, diving between alternative styles and genres, matching poetic introspective with energy and drive.

It starts off as an indie rock belter, but injects a theatric cinema into the structure, bringing abrupt dynamic changes and performative vocals. Intricate designs are enlightening whilst the tones are rich and intentional. A roaring vocal then descends into a quieter, piano-driven slice of ethereality to round out the music.

The band says, “After a few years of a creative trickle, we had to face the music; there was a lot of work to do to get us back on track. Faced with a feeling of being ‘below the glass ceiling’ compared to many young boy bands rising insanely fast, and reminiscing on the various forms of misogyny we had faced from past live gig experiences, ‘Pretty (But Not Supposed To Be Here)’ was born.”
