Since debuting early this year, pop newcomers Oh Buddy! Have quickly made a name for themselves as a creative outfit to be reckoned with. Lacing their tracks with euphoric melodies and feel-good tendencies, they unveil their latest single ‘Home Is Where You Are’.
Anthemic synth lines set up the single with a stadium-filling backbone as the track slowly peers into the airwaves. The track’s silky vocal line makes for an intoxicating listen, the accessibility of the verses pulls you in close before the heady climax of the disco-laden chorus. Leaning into an eighties-esque nostalgia, the single nods its head to the pop-perfection of Sabrina Carpenter and Dua Lipa to lean into its irresistible backbone.
Speaking about the single, the band’s co-founder Chase explains, “’Home Is Where You Are’ is about the people who make you feel grounded, no matter where life takes you. It’s less about a physical place and more about the emotional journey, the warmth of being with someone who feels like home. This song, co-written with Cici Ward and produced by Jesse Brock, is a reflection of those meaningful relationships and moments that really matter.”
