London quartet The Great Leslie debuted in 2020 and wasted no time leaving a mark. With impressive studio sound and energetic live shows, they’ve collaborated with Bloc Party’s Russell Lissack on their EP Heavy Unsteady and opened for Franz Ferdinand. Headlining shows across the UK, The Great Leslie now looks ahead to a new EP, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat.
The band’s new single ‘No Future’ is filled with a variety of grooving influences, moving from choppy to flowing, punk-edged to joyous, bobbing and diving through the soundscape with a compositional effortlessness.
Thumping instrumentation pulls along a performative vocal, the lead melodies constantly evolving from half-spoken lines directed out to the audience to soaring climaxes that leave it all on the microphone. Alternative, vibrant and fierce, the EP is now very anticipated.
The band shares on the single, “‘No Future’ is a track that is designed to speak to young people, talking about their plights in a modern-day world where they have minimal prospects, money or opportunities.”
And on the upcoming EP, “‘Repeat, Repeat, Repeat.’, is an EP based on social issues in modern-day society.”
‘No Future’ is out now…
