Grunge-punk duo Crispus Attucks and The Love Muskets are back with their latest EP ‘…and The War Came’. Marking their first release in two years, the group have quickly gained a reputation for their unflinchingly honest approach to music making as they fuse together social consciousness with riotous guitars and anthemic choruses.
Making an emphatic release to streaming platforms, ‘…and The War Came’ is the first release from the duo since the release of their second album Reimagination. Known for their politically charged approach to punk enthused alt-rock, the band hold nothing back with their latest EP. Starting with the tension building ‘Overtones’, the group make a steady return to the soundwaves before their six-track roars out the speakers. Each track carries an unforgiving energy whilst taking a slightly different approach to their trademark alternative sound, highlighting the wide array of influences enthused into their deep grooves.
Speaking about the creative processes that led to the release of the EP, the band comment, “Creating ‘…and the War Came’ was an intensive and rewarding journey that spanned over a year. We started crafting this song with a vision to encapsulate the political divisions of our time, aiming to convey both the challenges and the resilience we see around us. We believe this song has the potential to spark meaningful conversations and we’re committed to reaching as many listeners as possible”.
