Cardboard Sessions is pleased to announce Pete Yorn as the latest artist to showcase his talent on the cardboard instruments. Today, the first of a two-part episode features Pete performing “Real Good Love”, the second single off Pete’s latest album The Hard Way. This will be followed by “Calm Down” out next Wednesday, August 28th.
“To come in and play on instruments that I’ve never played on before, and yes, they’re cardboard, but they have such a feel” states Pete. “The song “Real Good Love” we did, it just kinda came together almost magically.” It’s that sentiment that makes Cardboard Sessions so special and Pete’s episode is no exception. His music, and this session, is a vibe. It’s honest and organic and comes together, well, magically.

Known for playing the bulk of the instruments on his albums, Pete does the same for his Cardboard Session recording. He performs on the cardboard guitar, cardboard bass, cardboard drums, and cardboard keys. Jackson Phillips, who has previously collaborated with Pete in the past, serves as engineer and sits behind the keys for the session.
“Thanks for having these Cardboard Sessions and making these happen. I’m a musician and a singer and this has been a blast. Keep them going…they’re good and they’re fun.”
